21 Nov Navigate Partners with Philadelphia Outward Bound School for 2016 Service Days
On October 21st, 7 brave souls from Navigate participated in a spectacular event to raise money for the Philadelphia Outward Bound School. Looking over the ledge from 29 stories in the air is not something that everyone looks forward to, but the Navigate Aerial Team raised more than $10,000 for the privilege of putting on harnesses, clipping in a tangle of ropes and carabiners, stepping off and slowly rappelling down the side of Two Commerce Square in front of an audience of hundreds of supporters, colleagues, Outward Bound students and alumni, and confused Commerce Square tenants. Each team member may have had slightly different expectations, but we each felt a great sense of accomplishment when we reached the ground. Thanks to the great support of our family, friends, colleagues and clients, we were able to make a big difference for a great organization.
Our support for Outward Bound continued on October 28th, when the entire Navigate team participated in the firm’s annual Service Day. After Outward Bound led us in some team-building activities (no rappelling this time), we worked along with the Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation to plant, trim, mulch, and clean up part of Fairmount Park.
Community outreach is just part of business as usual at Navigate. Learn more about our commitment here.
