Stieven Weidner Joins naviGATE: Senior Manager Expands Firm’s Service Offerings with Extensive Business Continuity, Cloud Computing and Healthcare Expertise
Villanova, PA – October 10, 2011 – naviGATE, a regionally focused management consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Stieven Weidner has joined the firm as Senior Manager. Steve brings 15 years of business continuity and 30 years of diversified IT experience, and specializes in building cohesive business continuity and disaster recovery programs and datacenter solutions, using proven approaches and a highly focused skill-set. Steve will counsel naviGATE’s clients on matters such as how to equip their companies with maximum business security and efficiency in the best manner to accommodate their specific needs and environments.

Prior to joining the firm, Steve served as Enterprise Manager at Catholic Health East, a multi-institutional health system encompassing 54,000 full-time employees in 11 states. In this role, he led the development of a business continuity and disaster recovery methodology; identified the critical business functions to be involved and the IT infrastructure to support them; and rolled out the needed program policies and standards. As part of his project management, Steve recommended, implemented, and provided training on an appropriate enterprise-wide business continuity software tool.
Steve’s career also includes management of SAP America’s enterprise-wide, 45,000-square-foot datacenter as the company’s Manager, Global IT Hosting & Operations. While there, he led the design and development of global cloud computing agreements to support both small and medium-sized clients, which resulted in the establishment of several new domestic and global datacenter partnerships.
In addition to membership in a number of specialized professional organizations, Steve has earned distinction as a Certified Business Continuity Professional and a Master Business Continuity Professional (one of about 100 worldwide), and is currently pursuing certification as a Member of the Business Continuity Institute.
