Successful companies understand when it is time to bring experts in to assist with specific challenges – and that’s often where we come in, providing objective, third-party insight into what issues need to be addressed and how. Such was the case with The Service Companies, the nation’s premier provider of managed services to the hospitality industry, who brought us on board to help achieve its goal of becoming the employer of choice for hourly associates.
Ultimately, The Service Companies wanted to attract new associates and retain its current associates. This is not a problem unique to The Service Companies, but the company recognized the gap and reached out to us for help. With a team of nearly 10,000 hourly associates who provide cleaning, staffing, and managed services, The Service Companies has been vocal about our role from the start of the engagement, wanting its employees to understand that they are a true priority for the company.
The engagement began with an analytical assessment to identify existing drivers of success and potential pain points. Based on the results, we collectively identified and implemented initiatives that have already resulted in higher associate engagement and decreased turnover, including a mentorship program, a training and development program, and other learning opportunities. Even better, as the associates have become more successful, the positive impact of that has been felt throughout the greater organization.
