A large oil and gas company was struggling to successfully implement key IT initiatives – with challenges ranging from delays and poor resource management, to a lack of sponsorship and insufficient status reporting. naviGATE was tasked with creating and leading a comprehensive Program Management Office to address these issues and get the projects back on track.

naviGATE first consolidated those involved into one cohesive team and established executive status reporting procedures detailing relevant milestones, budgets, issues, and decision points. Weekly meetings were held to enable IT, key sponsors, and business leaders to review and discuss progress, risk mitigation strategies, and new project requests. naviGATE worked with the client to evaluate and adjust resource assignments to more properly align available skill sets with planned project work. When the company announced significant divestiture, naviGATE formed and actively participated in weekly meetings with acquiring company’s IT transition leadership team to ensure continuity and completion of project work.
