Organizational Assessment
The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the largest not-for-profit medical board in the United States, has set aggressive business goals over the next 5 years and anticipates significant growth across the organization. ABIM engaged naviGATE to evaluate its system operations and technology infrastructure to assure its underlying technical infrastructure and supporting people and processes were positioned to grow with the business.
Engagement Results:
- Interviewed and evaluated the system operations staff to provide an objective assessment of strengths and weaknesses. Feedback led organization to begin adding necessary skill sets to support growth.
- Following ITIL methodology, navigate examined IT’s support and maintenance processes to gauge current and future effectiveness. Feedback led IT to modify several critical functions to better support ABIM users and systems.
- Assisted in the development and testing of the company’s IT disaster recovery plan including ongoing operational changes that were needed to improve efficiency of the current operation and simultaneously improve the feasibility of the IT disaster recovery.
