Business Process Management
A global bank, struggling with a backlog of legacy trades within its loan closing operations, hired a new team to settle these trades in order to improve client satisfaction and turn the employee focus back to current bank activity. naviGATE resources, brought on to direct the new team toward its defined goal, kicked off the initiative by creating an on-boarding and training package as well as process flows to enable the employees to get to work quickly and efficiently.
While documenting and assessing existing trade procedures, naviGATE resources identified several process weaknesses, which led to the development of a Database Trade Management Tool to manage and provide visibility into the status of the clearing of the trade backlog. The engagement included assisting with the bank’s auditing of closed/settled trade folders, helping to re-define and re-engineer their auditing processes and checklists. Project success was achieved with more than 2,800 legacy trades settled/closed; new reporting, auditing, and training systems implemented; and a bank poised for the future.
